Violet Susan BROWN (Butler)

July 12, 2008

Born April 30, 1910, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2008 at Fischer Place. Vi was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Jim, and her two sons Ray (Lyla) and Pat (Barbara), loving mother of daughter, Sharon. She was Nannie to 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Vi was born in Ladysmith, on Vancouver Island. The family moved to Vancouver where she met her lovely husband, Jim. In 1972, they retired to Pressy Lake; and later moved to 100 Mile House where she has resided for the past 18 years. Vi contributed countless hand-knitted outfits and shawls to the 100 Mile House Hospital Auxiliary, and could be seen working on the cart many a Sunday afternoon. In 2001, they both moved into Fischer Place Care Centre. The family wishes to thank Dr. Lapin and all the wonderful staff at Fischer Place for their loving care and thoughtfulness over the past seven years. A Memorial Service will be held at Hillside Baptist Church in North Vancouver on August 9th, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to 100 Mile House General District Hospital Auxiliary.
