Sandra Jo-anne PATTISON

June 10, 2005

Feb. 28, 1937 - June 10, 2005

Sandra was born in Thunder Bay Ontario; the first born to Muriel and Wilson (Tony) Nesbitt. At an early age she was a nurturer, a giver, to her friends, to her parents and to her three brothers that followed. After completing high school she furthered her education to become a Registered Nurse. After graduating she started her first of many careers, nursing at the Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster where she met her first husband Robert Pattison. Sandra was best described as an entrepreneur, she had many titles in her life, Wife, Mother, Nurse, Farmer, Resort Builder/Owner/Operator (built Montana Lake Resort), Restaurateur, (owned and operated Cariboo Place Truck Stop), Caretaker, (100 Mile Motor-cross and Snowmobile clubhouse) Advertising Consultant, (owned, operated Profile Advertising), and in her later years, she opened her house to boarders, preparing homemade meals for her tenants. Sandra was also a volunteer; she used her education and talents to work as a medic during motor-cross races, her advertising skills to organize ads for the Ashcroft Fall Fair and her gardening skills to beautify the Ashcroft hospital. Sandra leaves behind her husband Keith; sons Bob and David Pattison; daughter Julie Bowser (Larry); brothers Tom, Scott and Mike Nesbitt, their families and her pride and joy, her nine grandchildren: Joe, Sharlene, Stacy, Melissa, Miranda, Mitchell, Karli, Cassie and Shianne. Sandra wasn’t given full life; she made it full with her determination and her persistence! There wasn’t a challenge she didn’t face head on! Nor a hurdle she wouldn’t overcome! You will be sadly missed Mom! No service as per family’s request. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Canadian Cancer Society.
