Jan. 10, 1934 - Jan. 29, 2006
Dad started his life in Hamilton, Ont. lived and worked for many years in California, but chose to spend his twilight years here in the beauty and peacefulness of the Cariboo. He was a quiet, gentle man who valued his friends and family above all. He passed away peacefully at home and we are eternally grateful to all the wonderful people who ensured Dad’s dignity was preserved for all time. Thank you. Dad will be missed by all his family and friends, but his memory will be treasured forever by all who knew and loved him. We love you “Skipper.”
Our Dad was very special without a doubt,
He’d have given his shirt if you were without.
He has always been there, if just a phone line away,
Sometimes just to listen if there was nothing he could say.
A quiet gentle soul, his love for us as deep as the sea,
Now he soars with the angels,
for he’s been set free.
We were lucky to have all these years with each other
For there are many who must grow without their father and mother.
We will miss him with each and every moment of time
The death of the body is always a crime.
It is so hard to face this act of “saying goodbye”
The heart aches and it breaks and the pain makes you cry.
We take comfort that he is watching over us from above
That he’s eternally safe in God’s strong arms of love.
Our family and friends are our angels on Earth,
Supporting and loving us through our Daddy’s rebirth.
We will honour Dad’s memory by living the best life we can. A reflection of the spirit who lived as this man.
Blessed we all are and we will live through this pain,
Loving and comforting each other until we all meet again.
We love you, Dad
Now and forever XOXO
