Rita Marie was born June 29, 1921 in New Westminster to John and Kate ‘Annie’ Chamberlain.
She is predeceased by five brothers and four sisters. Rita was predeceased by E. Robbie Roberts in July 2009, the love of her life and her husband of 66 years.
Rita went swiftly and peacefully with her family by her side on Dec. 8, 2010. She was a long time resident of Green Lake and 100 Mile House and had recently settled in Kelowna. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her two sons: Dave (Norma) Roberts of Kelowna, (two stepdaughters Liz (Brad) Kemp, great-grandchildren Holly and Wyatt; Kathleen Sketchley and great-grandchildren Trevor and Lexie) and son Greg (Carol) Roberts of Green Lake, and their children: Trevor (Adrianne) Roberts, Tanya (Rory) Richards, and great-grandchildren Logan and Shane.
Rita enjoyed spending her time doing crafts, gardening, and reading. Family meant everything to her.
She was a loving mother, patient grandmother and a wonderful friend. We will never forget her loving and thoughtful ways. No service by request. There will be a private family gathering in the spring to celebrate Rita’s life.
