Dick, born Aug. 6, 1929, passed away peacefully May 15, 2007. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 53 years, Jacquie; daughter Sharon (Fred) Menzel, of Clearwater; sons Brian, Prince George and David, 100 Mile House and grandchildren Elisha (Danny) Fontaine, Trevor (Cheryl) Menzel, Andrew Menzel, Brenna Webb, Ben Webb and great grandchildren Ryan Fontaine and Avery Menzel. Predeceased by son Rick (2000) and his daughter-in-law Tammy (1996), his brother John; sisters Betty, Ada, Doris, and Alice. Survived by brothers Robert (Louise), Syd (Lee), Doug (Barbara); sisters Marje (Gordon) Blackstock, Shirley Webb, Marron Aucoin, Josie (Cal) Leeder, Amy (Don) Kirschner; brother-in-law Herb Appel, Arnie Paul and sister-in-law Verna Webb and numerous nephews and nieces. Dick was a dedicated family man, devoted to all and he gloried in our large family gatherings. He was a hard - working man, talented in all he did and loved to dance. He will be deeply missed by all. A special thank you to Dr. Street and the staff at Mill Site Lodge for their compassionate care. A memorial service will be held in June at the 100 Mile Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimers Society of B.C.
