A Sailors Prayer
On a sailors tomb, no poppies bloom
They do not with their comrades rest
Beneath the crosses, row on row
But cradled deep in the ocean’s breast
Lulled by her ebb and flow.
Sleep well brave hearts
Your Land is free
Your duty was with courage met
We bow in grateful memory
Lest we forget, lest we forget.
