What a huge spirit in such a little body! Pearl was cleverer than she knew and had an ability to attract and hold love and friendship. We have loved her. One of five sisters, Pearl is survived by the youngest, Esther Jane, two nephews, Julian and John Curry in Ohio, their sister Eleanor in Colorado Springs and a great - nephew, Bill also in Ohio. Until his death in November 2005 Pearl received weekly letters from another great-nephew, Richard, from Ohio, which were appreciated more than she could say. Pearl was born and grew up in Ohio, then, in 1939 she married her beloved husband Lowell (Pete). The next day they moved to Tulare, California, where they lived for 19 years, then in 1958 they came to 100 Mile House and ran a refrigeration business until retirement. Pearl loved gardening and their winter trips to Mexico. Two years after Lowell died, in April 1996, Pearl moved into Fischer Place, where she lived a full and contented life for nearly six years. We, her friends cannot speak highly enough of the exceptional quality of care she received there. We will miss her sadly. She was our sunshine.
