Marguerite Victoria YORK (Hall)

Marguerite was born in Killam, Alberta on April 30, 1913, and she died peacefully at 100 Mile House Hospital on May 21, 2009.

Marguerite lived most of her life in Killam, Alberta, where she grew up, married and raised her family. She will always be remembered for her warm and loving way, and as a lady who never complained.

At the age of 85, Marguerite moved to Cold Lake, Alberta, to be near daughter Jean and family. In 2004 she moved to Carefree Manor in 100 Mile House to be near daughter May and family.

She was predeceased by her husband Ross York (1986), daughters Edith (1945) and Jean (2007). Lovingly remembered by her daughter May (Gordon) Davis, son-in-law Bill Callas and five grandchildren, Rob (Jill) Weys, Mike (Therese) Weys, Vince (Lisa) Callas, Julie (Jaycee Ferland) Callas, Damon (Shelagh) Callas. She is also survived by eight great-grandsons, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in Killam, Alberta, with interment at the Killam, Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Killam Cemetery Fund.
