Konrad V. Senger

June 22, 2003

1927 - 2003

Kon passed away at home on June 22nd. Kon was born in Wilkie, Sask. He spent his youth on the prairies and then went to seek his fortune in B.C. He spent some time in Vancouver and then met his bride Kit in Nelson. The last 40 years, Kon lived the life of Riley in the Cariboo. Kon was an avid fisherman, great dancer, mighty gardener, master winemaker, honest (?) golfer and super storyteller. He was active in the Knights of Columbus, wore a mean tutu and could square dance ‘til dawn. Kon was a wonderful, loving husband and the best dad ever. We will miss you. Here is to a good golf score, green garden and great wine. Kon is survived by Kit, his loving wife; Lorraine (Larry) Gillespie, Cameron, Ryan; Pat (Jeff) Cheek, Steven; Donna (Ron) Gauld, Andrew and Michael. A service will be at 2pm, Thurs., June 26 at St. Jude’s Catholic Church on Horse Lake Rd., 100 Mile House. Reception to follow at the OAPO Hall in Lac la Hache. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
