We regret to announce the passing of June Truant on Dec. 22, 2003 in 100 Mile Hospital. She succumbed peacefully after several years of respiratory disease. June is survived by a loving sister Sally, niece Susan and nephew David in England; mother-in-law Anita, brother-in-law Ray (Diane), nephew Vince (Margaret) and niece Dawn (Dave) of 100 Mile House. She was predeceased by her loving and very missed husband, Richard, in 2000. As well, June, a retired X-ray Technician, had an extensive network of friends throughout the province and in the U.K. June was a fond supporter of the Cancer Society, B.C. Lung Association, the local SPCA and the 100 Mile Palliative Care Society. A memorial service will be held on Thurs. Jan. 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Church. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of choice.
