1931 - 2010
Joy Koens passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 17, 2010 at the 100 Mile District General Hospital. Joy was born and raised in Vancouver and met her husband Nick in August of 1954, they were happily married for 55 years. The family moved to the Cariboo in 1975.
Joy is predeceased by her son Ben, and survived by her loving husband Nick, son Tom (Kristy), daughters Toni (Steve) and Jo Ann, seven loving grandchildren and two great grandchildren, brother Bob Pearson of Vancouver, sister Dona Prevedello of San Jose, California; best friend of 53 years, Pearl Commoder of Cultus Lake, B.C. and many family and friends.
