Joseph CRAIG

Mr. Joseph Craig passed away following a brief illness on January 27, 2006 at the 100 Mile House District Hospital at the age of 72 years. A funeral service was held from St. Andrew’s United Church, Golden, B.C. on Saturday afternoon, February 4th with Kim Haslebacher officiating. James Murphy presented the eulogy. Pallbearers were: Simon Craig, Mike Hemmingway, Ron Taphorn, Carmen Hemmingway, Bridget Murphy and Marlin Larsen. Cremation followed. Joe was born in Rutherglen, Scotland on December 9th, 1933. Following his marriage, Joe and his new wife, Elizabeth immigrated to Canada in 1964. He was a carpenter by trade and worked in Toronto, Ont. until his retirement in 1996. After retiring, he moved to be with his family in 108 Mile Ranch, B.C. where he resided for the past nine years. Joe enjoyed tending his garden and traveling around the province to cycling events with his son, Simon. He also enjoyed his daily trips into the gym. In his spare time he enjoyed his handyman projects around his home. Joe was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth and is survived by his son Simon and daughter-in-law, Cindy Craig of 108 Mile Ranch. Joe will always be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
