Jon was born in New Westminster in 1982. He joined his sisters Melonie, Leslie and Amanda. Jon resided in Port Coquitlam with his family until 1990 when they moved to 100 Mile House. Jon attended school here with much enthusiasm and success. Jon's generous, fun-loving nature made him friends wherever he went. Jon was an extremely proud uncle to four nephews, Austin, Dylan, Brayden and Dawson. They were the apples of his eye. Jon was a keen player of games. He was always up for a game of crib and was a killer at Scrabble. In 2002 Jon ventured out on his own to Kamloops, joining a house of 5 other disabled adults. Jon spent the last year exploring Kamloops and making many new friends. Jon lived his life to the fullest, with much optimism and joy and will be missed by all the lives he has touched. Jon was predeceased by; sister Amanda, Gramma Helene Hood and crib-playing partner, uncle Doug McDonald. A Memorial Service was held on Sat., Aug. 23, 2003 in the 108 Community Hall with Elmer Richard officiating. Interment in the 100 Mile Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Muscular Dystrophy in Jon's memory.
