John (Jack) Donald Friesen passed away Jan. 9, 2007 at Royal Inland Hospital. Jack was born Aug. 17, 1933 in Rosthern, Saskatchewan. Jack was raised on a farm there until the age of 16, when the family moved to Vancouver, B.C. Jack began working for the White Spot restaurant chain and worked up to manager position. This is where he met his beloved wife June. In 1974 Jack and June moved to Green Lake where they were active with the Green Lake Sno-pokes and volunteer fire department. Jack and June loved hunting and fishing in the Cariboo. Following June’s death in 1993, Jack retired to Logan Lake, B.C. Survived by son Doug Friesen, daughter-in-law Pat Friesen, granddaughters Krista Friesen, Nicole Weir and Megan Friesen, son-in-law Doug Gibbon, grandson Jacob Gibbon and great grandchildren Mia and Luka Weir. Predeceased by wife June and daughter Jacque.
