John Edward Babineau, loving husband to Patricia, devoted Dad to Lindsay, Donald and Jamie, “Bumpa” to six grandchildren and caring companion to puppies Missy and Tiger passed away peacefully on January 8, 2008 at Mill Site Lodge in 100 Mile House, B.C. John was widely respected and excelled on many fronts. He was a veteran of WWII , enjoyed a successful 35 year career with Eaton’s, was a winning coach of the Saskatoon Hilltops, gifted athlete, gardener extraordinaire, tireless community volunteer and proud cottage owner at Bird Lake. John was tough yet fair, generous and wise. He enjoyed a great and full life. We will miss you immensely John. A Celebration of Life honouring John was held on January 12 at 2:30pm at the 108 Community Hall, the house that John helped build.
