John Barker (Jack) EAGER

August 28, 2006

Aug. 15, 1917 - Aug. 28, 2006

Jack passed away peacefully at Millsite Lodge in 100 Mile House, B. C., on Aug. 28, 2006. He was predeceased in 1956 by his wife Jeanne Marjorie, - “ the true love of his life”. Survived by his sister Eleanor Hughes of Williams Lake, his son Roland of Nanaimo, his grandchildren Becci (Campbell River) and Greg (Victoria), nephews Bob and Gerry Hughes, Michael and Bob Mushet, and niece Barb Ecclestone. Jack was born in Vancouver and raised in West Vancouver. He enjoyed a long and productive career as an architectural draftsman in Vancouver. He served as a radio communications instructor in the air-force during W.W. II. Special thanks to Dr. Street, and to the nursing staff at Millsite Lodge and Fischer Place in 100 Mile House for their excellent care, and for creating many pleasant experiences for him to enjoy. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made in Jack’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.

“…may the music always be with you.”
