Jan. 15, 1928 - Dec. 25, 2007

Joan Moodey passed away in 100 Mile Hospital Dec. 25, 2007 after a short illness. Joan Moodey was born in Toronto and lived there until the mid 60s when she married Gordon Joseph Moodey and moved to Ajax, Ontario. There she had two children; Gordon Michael in 1968 and daughter Jane in 1970. Joan moved with her family to 100 Mile House in 1978, where she lived from then on. Mom’s favourite foods were coffee, Dairy Queen burgers and fries, crunchy bacon, expensive cuts of beef, jalapeno bagels, anything barbequed and liquor… but mostly coffee! Mom hated root beer. Mom enjoyed watching “The Young and the Restless” and complaining how unrealistic it was, but watched it anyway! Most anything on the “Food Network” was a hit, along with sportscaster Squire Barnes, whom she found hilarious! Mom never missed “60 Minutes”, but only to see Andy Rooney! Mom liked sitting in the garden in nice weather and chatting with all the other tenants she came to know in her building. Mom loved babies, but was scared of most animals, even little ones. Mom only wore clothing made by “Northern Reflections” mostly. But of all the things she loved, most of all she loved her two children, Gordon and Jane. She is also survived by her relatives Barbara Howson in Oshawa and Jane Anthony in Scarborough, as well as countless others from Ecuador to Kyrgyzstan.

So long Mom, we love you to little tiny bits and miss you terribly too!

xxx-ooo from Gordon and Jane.
