Born in Vancouver, BC on December 28, 1924 and passed away on June 14, 2017 in Kamloops, BC.

Jack and Al were married for 62 years and he wanted to be with his wife whom he missed dearly since her passing in April.

Leaving behind to share stories and memories of his antics are daughters, Carol, Kathy (Bruce) and Donna (Miran). Also left to mourn are his granddaughters, Sandra (Ryan) and Lisa (Kevin); great grandchildren, Griffin, Ruby, Jackson and Terry, who loved their “Great Grandpa Jack”. There are numerous family and friends who will miss him including a special family in Germany who he loved to visit and be visited by: Bernard, Mia, Holli, Christa, Lucilla, Jule, Farina, Josephine, Dirk, Louise and Alice.

Dad will be remembered for his wit, practical jokes and infectious smile. He was generous to a fault with his time, handyman skills, advice and friendship. Jack bravely served in World War 2 for the Navy on a Corvette. He did not talk much about his experiences, but when he did you listened with pride at his bravery. He was the ship’s photographer which included a lot of pictures of the ship’s dog. After leaving the Navy, he worked all his adult life for BC Tel, which he took an early retirement from.

They moved from North Vancouver in 1984 to their home on the 108 Ranch where they lived until 2014 before moving to Kamloops. He spent time with his granddaughters, fishing, camping, volunteering and travelling. He was always busy in his shop fixing or creating something.

There is no service as per Jack’s request but you can certainly tip your glass and toast him as he will be doing it in return.
