Jack was born in Vancouver, B.C. and moved to the Cariboo in 1954. He worked for Sundman Bros., Canim Lake Sawmill and Weldwood of Canada. Jack was predeceased by his parents Dorothy (née Lasco) and Joe Grassie as well as one brother, Leonard Grassie. He is survived by two sisters; Lottie Geortzen and Lorraine Sundman; his wife Norma and children Sherry (Willy) Frank, Wayne, Donna (Rick) Hornell, Laura-Lee (Arnie) Dunford, and Lorna Grassie; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. There will be no formal service by request, but a tea was held Friday, February 9 in 100 Mile House, B.C. Condolences for the family may be sent by going to 100milefuneralservice.com
