After returning from the war he worked as a bus driver, then at the Pacific Grain terminal in Vancouver until his retirement at age 62. He then moved to Green Lake to retire where he was able to enjoy the next 20 plus years, before going into Carlton Gardens Care Home in Burnaby in February 2008. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Irvine’s life will be held on January 10, 2009 at the Langley Legion located at 20702 Eastleigh Cresent, Langley, B.C. at 2:00 p.m. The family will also hold a Memorial in the late spring/early summer up at Green Lake.
