With deep sorrow, the family of Harlan John Springett announce his sudden passing April 14, 2006. Harlan was born Dec. 6, 1955 in Edmonton, Alta. The family moved to Lac La Hache in 1967. Harlan attended school locally before working as an electronics technician in various towns in the Okanagan. He moved back to the Cariboo in 1986 where he continued his trade. Harlan is survived by his partner Geraldine, his parents John and Arlene Springett of 108 Mile Ranch, B.C.; his sister Catherine Vermette (Lyle), also of the 108; his brother Jeff Springett (P.J.), of Whitehorse, Yukon; his sister Ann Granger (Rod), of 105 Mile, B.C.; nieces and nephews Amber, Joe, Jennifer, Jeremy, Leah, Ashley and Kelli; great nephews and niece Warren, Brooklyn and Parks; Aunt Barbara Middlestead and cousins Jordan, David, Jeff and families, all of Manitoba and Alberta; Uncle Brian and Aunt Carole and cousins Jennifer, Jason and families, all of Manitoba; and Harlan’s five foster children whom he supported through World Vision. Memorial service to take place at the 108 Community Hall at 2:00 p.m. on Thurs., April 20, 2006.
