In the early morning hours of July 4, 2017, Frank Dixon, 71, of Green Lake peacefully passed away in 100 Mile Hospital. Family, and close friends all came to remember, reminisce and reconfirm their love for him.

Frank's wife, Rita, will miss him terribly. Frank was the eldest of 4 children and is survived by his sisters: Sue (Harry), Joyce (Bob deceased), brother Glen (Brenda); as well as nieces, nephews and great nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Rev. Allan and Ida Dixon.

Frank served as a Vancouver Police Officer from September 1966 to January 1997. He was dedicated to his work and during his service, he worked in various operational and investigative divisions within the Police Force.

Frank had a quiet, gentle and positive nature. He had a subtle way of passing on knowledge and advice. His dry sense of humour and wit are all treasured memories now.

As a teenager and young adult he excelled at hockey and curling as well as competing in car rallies and gymkhanas. Frank had a unique and special relationship with his dogs. Many conversations and observations were shared while walking along trails or going for truck rides.

Jackson is missing him. The freedom, wonder and peacefulness of the outdoors were Frank's life. Boating, ATVing, hunting, snowmobiling - just enjoying nature made him the happiest.

Frank truly loved life.
