Fran was born in Sexsmith, Alberta on March 4th, 1947, She grew up on the family farm and developed a huge love of music, playing and singing in her own band. Fran’s loves were her husband Dan, her mother Leona, her family members; children, grandchildren, great grandchildren. Fran resided in the 100 Mile House area after running a fishing camp with Dan at Hi-Hium for many years. Fishing was one of Fran’s many passions. Fran was baptized, a firm believer that Jesus Christ was her Saviour, and studied God’s word for her last 10 years. She believed in Heaven with her whole heart and knew she would go there even though she struggled with leaving behind all the people she loved. Fran passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of family and friends at the 100 Mile Hospital on July 25, 2006. Fran is survived by her loving husband Dan, mother Leona, sister Jan (Hank), her children Peter (Tina), Sherry, Stacey (Tammy), Jason (Kristyn), Grandchildren Francine (Daniel), Levi, Timara, Jordan, Mary Francis, Krysta and Kyhler. Also survived by great grandchildren Ryley, Madison and Abby, many family members, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends, all of whom will miss her and all her birthday and Christmas cards. Fran was predeceased by her brother Tim and step father Steve. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, July 29th, 2006 at the 100 Mile Bethel Pentecostal Community Church. Fran’s ashes will be interred in Woodlawn Cemetery in Fort St. John on August 8th, 2006 at 2pm.
