Emily passed away peacefully at the Vernon Hospice House after a brief battle with lung cancer. Time proved too short for her to say goodbye to her friends in 100 Mile House, but you were all in her thoughts and heart. Emily was predeceased by her husband, Niels Christiansen, in 1985. She is survived by her two daughters in Canada, Carolyn Christiansen and Brenda McCullagh with husband, Aaron, and by her grandchildren, Devon and Morgan. In Northern Ireland, Emily is survived by her brother, Albert Brown and family, daughters Lorraine Crowe and family, and Irene Ruddock and family, and by her son, Johnny Rea and family. Carolyn and Brenda extend their thanks to the Vernon Hospice House and to all their friends and loved ones for their support through this difficult time. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Emily’s memory to the Vernon Hospice House or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
