Eleanor DONNELLY

January 1, 2006

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Eleanor Donnelly of Kamloops, B.C. on Jan. 1, 2006. She will be sadly missed by her children: Ed, Ken and Jody, Brian, Sharon and Dan, Ruth and Barry as well as 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also survived by her father and dance partner Frank Jeal of Kamloops and sisters Carole and Judy. Predeceased by her mother Elizabeth Jeal in 1995 and her partner Don Jurgens, in 2003. Eleanor moved from Vancouver to settle in the Cariboo in 1956 where she raised her family. In 1995 she retired and moved to Kamloops. Retirement kept her busy and many more special friends were made while golfing, curling and playing bridge. Ellie always maintained that she had the best bridge partners in the world. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humour and infectious laugh. Even cancer could not take away her beautiful smile. A celebration of life was held at the Interlakes Hall on Sat., Jan. 7, 2006. Eleanor was laid to rest at Roe Lake Cemetery with her loving partner Don. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
