Ted passed away peacefully at George Derby Veterans Centre in Burnaby, BC, where he industriously spent the last five years, mainly in the Artworks Studio. He discovered he enjoyed painting and happily considered it his latest employment. Born in Nova Scotia, he arrived in 100 Mile House as a young man to homestead and remained until 2004. From homesteading he went on to owning and operating a sawmill, trucking his products up and down the Fraser Canyon and the Lower Mainland. He was partial to trucks, having been a driver in the war. From the war he also gained a compassion for children in need and so supported a of couple of Korean girls throughout their growing years. Ted is predeceased by his parents, brother, sister, a nephew and a niece. He is survived by his daughters Ramona and Sandra and their mother, Orlanda, 32 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, seven nieces and nephews and their families. A memorial will be held at 3pm on May 17th, 2009 at Clearwater Christian Church, 11 Lodge Drive, Clearwater, BC.
