It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Cathy Michel (nee Boyce) on October 15, 2009. Predeceased by: children Leslie Boyce, Leroy Boyce, Lorna Amut (nee Boyce), second husband Duncan Currey, parents Julian and Teresa Boyce (nee Donald) and granddaughter Miranda Amut. Cathy is survived by: her first husband Ray Michel, children Lena (Herman), Alana (Marty), Lorelei (Bill), Lyndsay (Don), Victor (Jen); grandchildren: Crystal, Colleen, Rod, Jaci, Julian, Brent, Stephanie, Dustin, Yellowbird, Arayna, Kalei, Lorna, Edward and James; great-grandchildren: Cameron, Jolee, Lexus, Benoit and extended family and friends.
Cathy was raised at Tatton, 105 Mile and Buffalo Ranch, where her parents were ranching. She spent numerous years ranching in the Cariboo-Chilcotin area. Cathy also spent 17 years in Nova Scotia with Duncan before returning home to the 100 Mile House area.
Cathy: wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend; we will miss your love, determination, kindness and smile. Each of us will hold our special memories in our hearts forever, may we pass these on to our future generations. Until we meet again, we love you.
Funeral services will be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Brain Injury Association.
