Carl passed away suddenly at 100 Mile Hospital at age of 68 years. Born in Osler, Sask, he moved to the Cariboo 23 years ago from Surrey, B.C. Survived by his loving wife, Yvonne, of 45 years; son Brad of 103 Mile; daughter Sheryl of Revelstoke, B.C. and four grandchildren: Adam, Aaron, Melissa and Alyssa. Carl has four surviving brothers: Hank; Ike (Rosalee) of Calgary, Alta.; Ben (Annette) of Vulcan, Alta.; Bill (Bernice) of Saskatoon, Sask.; two sisters: Nettie Pozniak, of Calgary, Tina (Harry) Barrett of Yahk, B.C. and several nieces and nephews. Carl worked for 30 years in industrial and commercial painting throughout B.C. He loved fine woodworking and did some custom work. Later years he became sole owner/operator of Holiday Pizza & Cafe at Interlakes Corner. He will be remembered for his good humour and his infectious laughter. Carl will be greatly missed by his family and friends. “But we know he has gone home to be with Jesus.” Graveside service was held at the Lakeside Cemetery, May 1, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Attended by his family and friends. Officiated by Pastor Rick Barker. In lieu of flowers, contributions to World Vision would be greatly appreciated.
