Brian UNRAU

December 23, 2006

Brian Unrau passed away peacefully on Dec. 23, 2006 in the 100 Mile Hospital. He was born in Winnipeg, Man. on Nov. 17, 1953. His family moved to B.C. in 1970. Brian and his new family moved to the Cariboo four years ago. Brian chose the Cariboo because it offered him the peace and tranquility that he longed for. Because of his disabilities, Brian couldn’t enjoy the physical things that interested him anymore. However, that didn’t fade his excitement everytime he saw an eagle or bear or moose. He enjoyed the abundance of wildlife that surrounded him. Brian loved life and lived it to the fullest. He wasn’t a joker per se, he was more of a prankster (a great big brat). He had the biggest, kindest heart. If you needed the shirt off of someone’s back, Brian’s shirt was off first. Brian was predeceased by his devoted father Bernhard Unrau and his adorable granddaughter Emily. Brian is survived by his loving wife Brenda and his seven children, Katrina Rud (granddaughter Bethany), Michael Rud (wife Jaciety and three grandchildren, Joey, Chaylene and Justine), Troy Rud (wife Theresa and two grandchildren, Angela and Andrew), Lance, Craig, Erik and Kaj; his loving mother Angie Unrau; brother Bruce and family; and sister Pat Friesen and family. Brian will be truly missed but eternally loved by us all. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethel Chapel, 550 Exeter Truck Rd., 100 Mile House. In lieu of flowers please send donations to The Canadian Diabetes Association. Please dress casual. For those who wish, please wear jeans and

t-shirts in memory of Brian.
