Born October 22, 1926 passed away peacefully at home on July 20, 2003 after a short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Audrey is survived by her loving life's partner of 52 years, Gilbert; her five children Karen (Cliff), Carol (Ron), Diana (Murray), Wanda (Larry), and Brent. Audrey also adored and was adored by her 16 grandchildren: Erin, Kristen, Tyler, Ashleigh, Brandon, Matthew, Cara, Ryan, Lyndon, Brittany, Arlyn, Andrea, Grant, Evan, Tamara, and Caitlyn. She is also survived by six sisters, five brothers, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father William, her precious mother Bertha Eliza, and sister Hazel. Audrey was a member of the Church of Christ and will always be remembered by those who knew her for her unfailing faith in her Heavenly Father, her desire for all to know His saving grace, and her belief that „through the hands of a loving God, whatever is, is best." Her beautiful smile, which has touched so many lives, is permanently etched in our hearts and minds. A service to celebrate the life of Audrey will be held on July 29, 2003 at the Evangelical Free Church (100 Mile House) at 2 p.m. with Norm Weir officiating.
We wish to extend our thanks to the doctors and nurses, too numerous to mention at the Williams Lake and 100 Mile House Hospitals, who took such incredible care of her during her stay with you. We also wish to express our deepest thanks to Dr. Wendland, and the 100 Mile House Home Support nurses, Debbie, Bev and AnnMarie, whose care and compassion made Audrey's final weeks at home that much easier. You were always there for us and graciously allowed us the privilege of being as active as we were in her care. You hold a special place in our hearts.
