Alice Mary Heyer, age 86, passed away peacefully at Fischer Place.

She was born November 26, 1922 on her parents homestead in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, the middle of three children. Her childhood and youth was spent on the family farm.  In her late teens she moved with her family to Vancouver, where she became an accomplished horsewoman.  In her mid-twenties she moved to the USA, living in California and Michigan.  She returned to Canada in 1968 and resided in Kamloops and on Vancouver Island for many years.  Taking a position with the parks board she spent several happy years living and working in Manning Provincial Park.  Alice retired to the 100 Mile House area where she enjoyed her acreage, her dogs, the view of the lake, and family and old friends.  

Alice is predeceased by her parents Albert John (1960) and Catherine (1981), brother John (1994), sister Ellen (2007) and nephew David (2009).  She is survived by nephews Donald Heyer, Gary Heyer and Lee Hunt, niece Joanna Macaulay, and eight grandnieces/nephews.  Alice has resided in Fischer Place since 2000.
