Alexander Walter GROPP

July 26, 2006

Born in Vancouver, B.C., Alex passed away tragically at the Royal Columbian Hospital after a work place accident. He is survived by his loving wife Darlene (nee Mackay) and his three beautiful daughters Joelene, Keshia and Darby. They were his pride and joy and he often referred to them as his three little angels. Alex and Darlene made their home at Big Lake for a few years where their first daughter was born. He also spent a great deal of time, and had many memories created, at Rail Lake where he was a long time seasonal resident since 1985. He is also survived by his parents, Gunther and Lydia Gropp, his brothers Bernie (Cathy), Gunther (Janice), Brian (Karin), sister Helen Rintoul (Jack); not to mention the numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and one great niece; and was predeceased by his other sister Eileen Loor (Glenn). He’ll be remembered by so many dear friends and a choice few of which Alex considered to be his brothers. A celebration of Alex’s life will he held on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Henderson’s Funeral Home in Langley. For all those who wish to attend there will also be a viewing on Friday, August 4, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. Any donations made in Alex’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society would also be greatly appreciated.
