The Cariboo Regional District is holding a Public Hearing at 7 p.m., June 27 at Interlakes Community Centre (ICC.) This is for John & Pauline Black who are requesting rezoning in order to subdivide two 5-acre lots (only) off their property at 7763 Bell Road.
Stampede
The 68th Bridge Lake Stampede at Bridge Lake Rodeo Grounds is July 1. Gates open at 8 a.m., slack (extra events) is at 9, and the main events start at noon. Come enjoy all the hair-raising rides and special children’s events.
Admission costs $15 for adults; $10 for seniors; and $5 for children aged six to 12.
Family fun
Interlakes Business Centre is hosting a Family Fun Day on July 1, from 2 to 8:30 pm. This includes a bouncy castle and slide, bouncy Sumo wrestling, bungee run (for adults), sand sculpting, wagon rides, face-painting, and a huge birthday cake. MP Cathy McLeod is expected to drop by.
Kamloops’ Yale County Jug Band performs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and, during a break, the Sumo wrestling championships will be held!
Food will be available from Summit Creek Sausage.
Mountain Spruce Community Events Centre (MSCEC) is hosting a Canada Day barbecue from 4 p.m. on and invites everyone to bring their own meat and a dish to share.
Garage sale
The Interlakes Volunteer Fire Department’s annual garage sale is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., July 1, at #2 Hall (Central).
