Once again the 70 Mile Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) will have a yard sale next to the Corral Restaurant. The sale will be held July 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and July 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The money will go to upgrading the current ageing trucks.
Memorial service
There was a big turnout for the memorial service for Frank Huber Sr. There were close to 200 relatives and friends at the Huber Farm to say goodbye to Frank who passed away on May 6.
Bingo
The next 70 Mile VFD bingo will be held June 27 at SMAC. Play begins at 7 p.m.
VFD news
The next fire practice will be held June 20 at 7 p.m. at the fire hall. Anyone interested in joining the volunteer crew is urged to attend.
