There was a constant flow of spectators watching the carriage driving event at the Huber Farm on July 28 and 29.
The number of entries was down from past years but those that were there provided interesting entertainment.
The concession stand was a popular spot as always.
The next event will be held Sep. 22 and 23 beginning at 9 a.m.
SMAC news
A volunteer barbeque was held at SMAC on July 29. There were 47 volunteers, helpers, and family members in attendance.
VFD news
The fire department was called out to two wildfires in the area. Both were small and were quickly extinguished.
The next fire practice will be held Sep. 3 at the fire hall on Willow Drive beginning at 6 p.m.
Bookmobile
The Thompson Nicola bookmobile will be here on Aug. 31, at the South Green Lake fire hall from 10 to 11 a.m. and at the 70 Mile General Store from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
